Craft City Seddon :: Maribyrnong Makers Market

Happy Eco Christmas

You’ve installed the solar heating, recycled your plastics and you tip the washing water on the lawn … but what about your Christmas shopping? Make your Christmas gift giving environmentally friendly this year by visiting the Maribyrnong Makers Market.

The market has a huge range of upcycled, reinvented and repurposed items that make unique Christmas gifts. And there’s no carbon footprint: everything at the market is made in Melbourne by the stallholder.

Cosy blankets made from jumpers, bags made from real estate signs and vintage belt buckles on hats, gloves and bags are just some of the reinvented gift ideas you’ll find at the November Maribyrnong Makers Market.

This final market for 2009 will be a bumper Christmas event, offering a fabulous range of Christmas gifts and entertainment for all the family. Stalls will be located at two sites on Gamon Street; the Uniting Church Hall and Harris Reserve. Entertainment includes singers and african drumming plus FREE children’s activities in Harris Reserve.

Shop, relax, pet a pig, paint a poster or have your face painted. Who says Christmas has to be hectic?

The Maribyrnong Makers Market will be held on Saturday 14 November from 10am to 3pm at the Seddon Uniting Church Hall AND Harris Reserve, Gamon Street, Seddon.
